Are There Any Additional Fees Associated With Mowing?

Additional Costs (TBD): Any extra services such as hard edging, or special requests will be requested via email; discussed and billed separately.Pet Waste: If pet waste is not picked up, the crew will mow around each. If there are more than 3 areas of pet waste, a $30 charge will be added on top of the total mowing fee, even if mowing is not completed. If the case occurs where our crew member is hit with pet waste, they will leave the property and the client will still be charged double the price of a full mowing service.Payment Terms: Payment is due within 7 days of receiving your invoice. We accept various payment methods for your convenience. Service will be paused once there are 2 mowing services unpaid. Service will continue when the invoice is up to date.Late Payments: Payments made after the given 7 days will incur a $2 fee for each additional day. Declined Card: If a card payment is declined, a $4 charge that we incur from our card processor will be passed on to you the client.Mobilization Fee: If for any reason there is public works being conducted on or near your street, notify New Age Immediately so we can adjust the schedule or skip your property for that week. If the time comes where the streets are blocked, or road work is occurring, and we are not notified as late as the morning of service, client will be charged a $25 mobilization fee. To avoid this fee, simply call or email to notify of the work being conducted on/near your street.No Access: If all or part of your property (backyard) isn’t accessible, the client will still be charged full price for the mow, even though the crew wasn’t able to access locked/blocked areas.We provide the convenience of scheduled mows, and with that, all gates/entrances should be accessible. 

Should I Prepare My yard for Quality Mowing?

Clearing the Area: To achieve the best results, please ensure that your yard is clear of obstacles such as: pet waste, toys, hoses, and other debris. This helps us provide a cleaner and more efficient mowing service.Access: Ensure that gates and entryways are accessible to our equipment. If there are any special instructions for accessing your property, please let us know in advance. The mowing fee will still be charged if we are unable to mow due to a locked gate or other obstruction (parked vehicle).Does the Mowing Crew move items: Because of liability issues, the crew will not move anything from the mowing area. It is the sole responsibility of the client to prep the yard for efficient service.

Do you Cut Flower beds?

Foliage: We are not responsible for any damage to foliage that has been recently transplanted without prior notice. This includes leaves that may be growing out of a flower bed.Flowerbeds: Please ensure that flowerbeds are clearly defined. We are not responsible for damage to plants or flowers if flowerbeds are not well-marked.

Do you Provide Poison Ivy Management?

Spraying Only: Areas with poison ivy will be treated with a specialized herbicide. For safety reasons, these areas will not be mowed.Safety Precautions: This approach helps protect our equipment and staff from exposure to the harmful oils of poison ivy.

What Should I Expect for the Initial Mow?

The first mowing of the season will always be set to 4 inches.The first mow will include a 50% upcharge for bagging clippings and hard edging.The first mowing service of an overgrown lawn will look like a child’s first haircut.

What is the Mowing Height I should expect?

For the safety of our equipment and to prevent damage to pipes or sewer drains, our team will not mow lower than 3 inches.Adjustments will be made once the crew is well familiar with your property.

We are unable to weed whack areas with rocks or loose debris to avoid risk of injury or property damage.

What Should I do if I change the layout of my yard?

You must notify New Age by email so we can ensure that the crew is informed. When will My Service Be Scheduled?

You will be assigned a set day for mowing. However, due to weather delays or other unforeseen circumstances, we may adjust your service day by +/- 1 day. If we need to move your service day within 24 hours, you will not be penalized for a non-prepped lawn.

Should I get Serviced Weekly vs. Biweekly?

Weekly mowing is required between March-July; especially for high sunny areas. Depending on your type of grass, you may be moved to biweekly during the month of July or August. We have the right to return your service to weekly if needed.

How Long is the Mowing Season?

Mowing begins Late March/ Early April, upt till October 31st, or the 1st week of November (depending on what day your services lies in the calendar.

Cleanups have 4 hour limit

On packages purchased cleanups will be limited to 4 hours maximum.
